There are many reasons to register for an IE Code, let us explain a few: –

  • Proprietors can have IE Code-

Even individuals who are proprietors can obtain the IE code in their name. It is not necessary to setup a business for the same.

  • No Return Filing-

IEC code holder does not require any filing of the returns.

  • Importers and Exporters require IE Code-

All importers require IE code to clear the customs and exporters require IE code to send the shipments. Both importers and exporters can get the benefits of IE code.

  • Lifetime-No Renewal-
